Direct Drive Push Bike

Revise the design of high-speed track bikes to minimise drag and enhance power efficiency.

The original concept focused on exploring ways to reduce drag and improve overall aerodynamics. For decades, athletes have adjusted their body positions during high-speed races to minimize drag, but these adjustments have not been accompanied by significant design changes. Although there have been numerous advancements in materials and smaller design features, the core design has remained largely unchanged.

The redesigned bicycle aims to significantly cut drag created by the athlete and achieve comparable, if not superior, power output by employing a harness system to optimize rider positioning.

Further research has led to the development of an advanced gear system that addresses the inefficiencies and power losses associated with traditional chain-driven systems. Through precise manufacturing, this new gear system could greatly reduce friction, minimize power loss, and offer enhanced durability.
